How to cure a slice…

The slice is the most common fault in golf. It is an uncontrolled shot in which the ball curves to the right causing you to lose direction and distance.

Most slices are a result of an unintentional out-to-in swing path, though other faults may also produce a slice.

Things to check during your practice –

Check ball position – If the ball is too far forward in your stance you will slice it

Check grip pressure – If your grip pressure is too tight, therefore creates tension, you can’t roll your forearms and you will slice it. Lighten your grip pressure

Check your clubface position at address – If your club face is “open” at the address position you will slice it. To fix find a straight line on the ground at place the club so the leading edge is parallel to the line. If it looks and feels normal then you have a square clubface, if it looks closed, then your clubface has been too open at the address.
